Our Coffee Morning in NOVEMBER raised

WELL DONE everybody

A rare first pressing of the Beatle’s first album was discovered at Marlow House by Gildings the Market Harborough Auction House.

It had been given to us in a stack of old LP’s and luckily it’s potential value was recognised by Mark Gilding.

‘Please Please Me’ did indeed please us, when the reserve price of £600 was smashed via internet collectors at the auction and sold for a massive £2200…we love you yeah yeah yeah!!!!!

Marlow House was presented with a wonderful £500 donation on Monday 30th September. Dave Moore of Market Harborough Round Table number 618 is pictured presenting the cheque to Pamela Goodman, a Trustee of Vine Community Trust (Marlow House). The donation is being used to buy two electric hand dryers for the ground floor toilets at Marlow House and we really appreciate being chosen as beneficiaries for the money raised by ‘The Tablers’ – a big thank you to all involved.

Round Table is an organisation for men aged 18-45, and is all about making friends, having fun, trying things you’ve not done before and putting something back into the community, and for our Table, it is the communities around Market Harborough and Desborough.

In June we run 'It’s a Knockout' at the Harborough Carnival, and in December you will see us helping Santa with his sleigh around Desborough and outside Sainsburys in Market Harborough.  We also support BBC Children In Need.

We are always looking for new members, so if you are interested and would like to find out more, contact us through our Facebook page and come along to one of our events.  We meet twice a month for relaxed business meetings and fun social events.

Christmas Lunches 2019

December 10/11/12th saw the now famous Christmas Lunches being served for Clients and friends of Marlow House.

Click on the link below to see how much we all enjoyed ourselves.

Helen Crabtree ran “Name the Teddy” for the three days and raised £110. The bear’s name was LENNIE. Many thanks Helen.

We also held a raffle each day and are very grateful to Celia Coe for providing a beautiful floral arrangement for each raffle. Many thanks to Wacoal Europe(the old Corset factory) of Desborough for donating a smashing Christmas hamper for each raffle. The three day total raised £186.

A huge THANK YOU to Andy in our kitchen and the many volunteers for helping him, which made the three days possible.

The generosity of WACOAL extended to them providing all the Xmas crackers and paying for ALL of the food. We are indebted to them and cannot thank them enough.

 Christmas Lunches 2019

WACOAL held a CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY at the Desborough factory on Friday 13th December raising a fantastic £174.05 .

The photo shows John Leigh and Hannah Reneerkens, from Wacoal, making the presentation to our Manager Amanda Green.

Many thanks to the staff of CHEANEY SHOES LTD., who raised a incredible £562 on a sponsored walk for Marlow House. This was a wonderful surprise for us and we thank all participants very very much.
